It’s Not Blue
This is one of four posters that comprises the typographic monologue series I created based on the movie The Devil Wears Prada. The design principles hierarchy, emphasis/dominance and proportion/scale are supported in this piece by shape, color and space. The shape of the giant type in the center of the poster brings about a visual hierarchy over the other typographic elements of the piece, while the blue color brings emphasis/dominance over the white space and smaller black type. The white space around the type demonstrates the great sense of scale that the typography elements have in relation to one another. The communication purpose of this piece is to inform the viewer of the power of the monologue, visually and verbally.
